What
is the Federation?
The Federation has been in existence for over 20 years helping and representing the views, concerns and opinions of tenants and residents in the borough of Barnsley. Times have changed and so has the focus of the Federation but the commitment of our volunteer’s remains the same.
Membership is open to everyone and is currently made up from the 20 Tenants and Residents Associations (TARA’s) in Barnsley as well as from individuals that do not have a TARA in their area.
South Yorkshire Tenants and Residents Network will be holding a workshop from 10am to 12 noon on Tuesday March 20th 2012 at Springwell Gardens Community Centre to respond to two government consultations on Social Housing Allocations and Social Housing Fraud. To book your place contact Rotherfed.
The Federation launch their Business Plan - Monday 30th January saw the Federation lunch their new business plan and showcase their fabulous new headquarters.
Berneslai Homes
Annual Report has been sent to all of its tenants and residents
recently; It sets out how the company
has performed over the 2010/11 financial year and how they plan to improve
services this year. For the first time the annual report has been written
jointly between staff and tenants and includes feedback from the
tenants of the Berneslai Challenge Panels.
