Berneslai Challenge Panels
The Berneslai Home Challenge is a new focus for the Federation and we are embracing it with open arms. Our Challengers are members of our four scrutiny panels and they are here to make sure you get the service you deserve.

- It all started with the Tenant Services Authorities’ Pink Camper van?
Well the TSA are “toast”, as Grant Shapps notoriously quoted, but we are still here!
Thanks to all of the tenants and residents that came forward to join us and we are happy to report we now have 4 fully functioning Scrutiny panels.
Just to remind you that the Berneslai Challenge Panels were set up to ensure that Berneslai Homes are meeting the TSA’s national standards and the local offers that tenants drew up with Berneslai Homes last year. Their work does not stop there – if the panels feel that an area of service needs further investigation, rest assured, they will dig deeper until they are satisfied that all tenants and residents are receiving the service they deserve.
The panels have just completed a mock round of meetings. So keep looking at the website to find out what they found out.

It’s not too late to join in – our members may have gone through the training process, but we still have vacancies on the Homes panel, Value for Money and Tenant Involvement and Empowerment panels.
So if you have an interest in how Berneslai Homes seeks your views and involves you in the decision making process, then the empowerment and involvement panel is for you. If your forte is repairs, then why not join the Homes panel. If you want to make sure that Berneslai Homes deliverers value for money, then come and join the panel!
Our panels are made up of tenants and residents just like you – you don’t need any special skills or qualifications, just an interest in your chosen subject.
