On 16th November Berneslai Homes and Barnsley Federation of Tenants and Residents attended the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) tea reception at the House of Commons.
The reception was organised to highlight the achievements of ALMOs across the country and to promote debate on the future development of ALMOs. The event was hosted by Clive Betts MP in his capacity as the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for ALMOs and sponsored by Keepmoat Ltd.
Berneslai Homes Chair Suzy Brain England OBE attended the event with Joan Whitaker, Chair of Barnsley Federation of Tenants and Residents. They add, “The reception provided a great opportunity to meet with our local MPs and peers to discuss face to face with them their views on the achievement and future development of Berneslai Homes and Barnsley Federation. It gave us the chance to promote our positive work which includes our ground breaking Berneslai Challenge Panels and our continued focus on dealing with environmental issues, community safety and social cohesion.”
